Living with Peace in Uncertain Times
Share
The signs of the times—wars, natural disasters, and unrest—are all reminders that we live in a broken world. But Jesus doesn’t leave us without hope.
-
He Gives Us Peace:
In the face of fear, Jesus promises His peace:
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27, NIV)
His peace is different. It’s not tied to circumstances. It’s rooted in knowing that God is in control, no matter what happens.
-
He Calls Us to Be Ready:
Jesus tells us to stay watchful and prepared:
“So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.” (Matthew 24:44, NIV)
Being ready isn’t about fear—it’s about living a life that honors Him. It’s about loving others, sharing His message, and trusting in His plan.
How Can We Live in Hope Right Now?
-
Focus on Today:
Instead of getting lost in the “what-ifs,” focus on what God has called you to do today. Spend time in prayer, care for those around you, and trust Him with the bigger picture. -
Be a Light:
The world needs hope, and we are called to reflect the light of Christ. Whether it’s a kind word, a helping hand, or simply sharing your faith, small acts of love can make a big difference. -
Hold On to His Promise:
Remember that Jesus will return. It’s not a question of if, but when. And when He does, He will bring complete peace, justice, and restoration.
“He who testifies to these things says, ‘Yes, I am coming soon.’ Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.” (Revelation 22:20, NIV)
A Warm Reminder
It’s okay to wonder and even to feel uneasy about the state of the world. But don’t let fear steal your peace. Jesus hasn’t forgotten us. He hasn’t left us alone.
Instead of focusing on the end, let’s focus on the now. Let’s live with love, hope, and faith, knowing that when the time is right, He will come.
